This Editorial Policy explains how LeanStack AI researches, tests, writes, and corrects the content we publish. It applies to every article on leanstackai.com.
1. Editorial Independence & Unbiased Reporting
LeanStack AI is an editorially independent publication. Our revenue comes from programmatic display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense, Ezoic, and Mediavine. Advertisers do not see, approve, or influence our articles before publication, and our editors never know which advertisers appear on a given page.
We do not accept payment, free subscriptions in exchange for coverage, or any other consideration for reviews, rankings, or news stories. When a vendor provides temporary access to a paid plan for testing purposes, we disclose it in the article and the arrangement carries no obligation to publish or to publish favorably.
2. Hands-On Software Testing Methodology (Real SMB Scenarios)
Every review, comparison, and roundup is based on hands-on use of the product by a member of our editorial team. We test tools against realistic small business scenarios — drafting customer emails, summarizing meetings, automating bookkeeping hand-offs, building marketing assets — rather than synthetic benchmarks alone.
- We document the plan tier, date of testing, and the exact tasks performed.
- We measure output quality, time saved, learning curve, pricing transparency, and data-privacy controls.
- Scores out of 10 reflect a weighted average of these criteria and are re-evaluated when a product changes materially.
- Tutorials are executed end-to-end before publication; every prompt template is run at least three times to confirm consistent results.
3. Fact-Checking, Accuracy & Corrections Policy
All factual claims — prices, feature availability, model specifications, statistics, and quotes — are verified against primary sources such as official documentation, pricing pages, regulatory filings, or direct vendor statements before publication. Articles display a “Last Updated” date, and our editors review high-traffic guides on a rolling 90-day schedule.
If you believe an article contains an error, email editorial@leanstackai.com with the article URL and the correction. We review every report within 24–48 business hours. Material corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date and nature of the change; minor typographical fixes are made silently.
4. Our Policy on Artificial Intelligence in the Newsroom
We cover AI, and we use it carefully. Our process is human-first: research, testing, analysis, and final editing are always performed by people on our editorial team. AI tools may assist with tasks such as transcription, outlining, or checking grammar, but no article is published without substantive human authorship, verification of every claim, and editorial sign-off.
We never publish AI-generated product evaluations, invented quotes, or fabricated test results. Screenshots and benchmark figures come from our own testing unless clearly attributed to another source.
